EPD certification of ALPOLIC R85 with outstanding results
With the official publication of the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for the new ALPOLIC™ R85 product variant, ALPOLIC™ is setting another example for environmentally conscious construction. The EPD was certified by Kiwa-Ecobility Experts on 10 April 2025 and provides an independent and valid data basis for assessing the environmental impact over the entire life cycle of the product.
85 % recycled content - significantly lower emissions
With 85% recycled aluminium, ALPOLIC™ R85 sets new standards for sustainable façade cladding - and impresses with a remarkably low global warming potential of just 11.4 kg CO₂ equivalent per m². Compared to ALPOLIC™ panels with a 50% recycled content, this corresponds to a 40% reduction in emissions. Compared to conventional ACM composite panels without recycled content, greenhouse gas emissions are even reduced by around 60 %. The new product variant therefore makes a significant contribution to conserving resources and reducing CO₂ emissions in the building sector.
Certified support for green building standards
The EPD provides architects, specialist planners and building owners with a valid data basis for climate-conscious construction. It supports compliance with national and international sustainability standards and is relevant for building certifications such as DGNB, BREEAM and LEED
Available in all fire protection variants
Like all ALPOLIC™ products, ALPOLIC™ R85 also fulfils the highest safety requirements. The variant is available in fire protection classifications A1, A2-s1, d0 or B-s1, d0 on request. This also makes it suitable for use in high-rise buildings and buildings with increased safety requirements.
